Terry R. Jones – CEO & Executive Director, LISW-S

Terry R. Jones joined Mohican Young Star Academy as CEO and Executive Director in 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience in behavioral healthcare. His career includes key leadership roles such as Vice President of Midwest Development at Eastway Behavioral Healthcare, Director of Behavioral Health at CareSource, and Mental Health Compliance Director at Ohio’s Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS).

Throughout his career, Terry has developed expertise in strategic planning, program development, team building, consultation, and program evaluation. His work at institutions like Case Western Reserve, Southeast, Inc., Columbus Area Community Mental Health Center, and Central Ohio Mental Health Center helped refine his leadership and partnership-building skills.

Terry holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina and is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory Designation (LISW-S).

Beyond his professional life, Terry enjoys spending time with his wife, Sheila, and keeping in touch with their four grown children: Ranen, Simone, Joshua, and Audrey. Their family also includes two beloved rescue dogs, Barney and Lulu. In his free time, Terry enjoys traveling and playing golf with Sheila.
