Juvenile Sex Offender Program

180 Group

Juvenile sex offender issues are addressed in the 180 Group supervised by the Academy’s clinical director Nicole Fuhrhop, LISW-S, ACTP, CTRT. The group meets once a week for a one hour group session to address offending issues. Each peer completes an Offending Cycle:  a learning path to identify problematic behavior, high risk situations and triggers. The program uses the Pathways workbook as well as a relapse prevention workbook once youth have advanced in their understanding.  A strong emphasis is based on understanding denial,  the varying aspects of true consent and the need for empathy.
